Bangladesh Navy recently published the notification of appointment of manbaby in 2019-B officer cadet batch. According to the notice, the Bangladesh Navy has the opportunity to apply for the 2019-B officer cadet batch, both men and women, and the HSC candidates for the year2019. The process of application has already begun. Apply for the officer cadet position till 12th September, 018.
Educational Qualification: Applicants for the application for the 2019-B Officer Cadet Bachelor must have passed at least GPA 4.50 in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination from the Department of Science and both subjects must have minimum GPA 4.0 in both mathematics and physics subjects. For English medium students, ‘A grade’ in at least three subjects in ‘O’ level will have to be ‘B grade’ and ‘B grade’ must be of at least two subjects in ‘A’ level. But it is compulsory to have both these subjects in physics and mathematics.
Applicants should have passed at least GPA 4.50 in the secondary and higher secondary examinations of the applicants for the supply section and GPA minimum of 4.0 in the accounting and business organizations and management in the Higher Secondary Examination. Candidates working in the Armed Forces will have to pass the Navy High-Level Examination (HET) or equivalent Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force Examination. In addition, the HSC examinations of the Naval Officer Cadet will also be able to apply.
Physical fitness: Male candidates should be at least 5 feet 4 inches, weighing 50 kg, chest size 30 inches in normal and 32 inches in width. In case of female candidates, height should be at least five feet in one inch, weight is 46 kg, and chest size will be 28 inches and 30 inches in normal condition.
In order to apply for all posts in the 2018-B officer cadet batch, on July 1, 2019 applicants should be aged between 16.5 years and 21 years, but the number of candidates working in the Armed Forces should be between 18 to 25 years of age. Both male and female must be unmarried and Bangladeshi citizens for the application.
The application process
There are two methods of application as an officer cadet in the Navy. Online and fill the application form directly. Applicants for the online application must visit www.joinnavy.navy.mil.bd and click on the APPLY NOW button on the right of the home page and follow the application procedure and fill the application form properly. After completing the application form, applicants will be required to pay an application fee of 700 (excluding charges) through online banking or mobile banking. In addition to online payments, applicants can apply online in any bank of Bangladesh by submitting a payment order of Tk. 700 in favor of ‘BN Recruitment Fund’ Trust Bank Ltd., Principal Branch, Dhaka.
After the completion of the online application process, candidates will have to download and print the Form Information-1 and the Personal Information Form, along with the Call-Up Letter for the initial interview, and then bring the necessary documents along with the subsequent interview.
For the application of manual, the applicant will have to pay a pay order or manisariscript by depositing 700 rupees in favor of ‘BN Recruitment Fund’ Trust Bank Ltd., Principal Branch, Dhaka. After that, the payment order or Manirisipp copies of the application should be collected in the manual method to collect the application form. Manually duplicate the application should be attached as 3 copies of passport size photograph, Manirisip and 1 copy of the applicants online, all the certificates of educational qualification, citizenship and attestation copy should be attached. Selection Process and Training
Initially, candidates will be selected by candidates from primary and secondary examinations from the applicants and written tests will be conducted on their intelligence and English skills and general knowledge. Primary health check-up and initial interview will be held at the center mentioned in the Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna centers from 23 to 27 September 018 and written test 28 September 2018. Candidates will be selected from the candidates who have passed the intermediate examination by the Inter-Services Board (ISSB) and finalized final examinations. The finalized candidates will be given regular commissioning of ‘Sub Lieutenant’ after completion of 10-week training in the Bangladesh Military Academy and subsequent completion of 3 years of successful training, including 24 months as the officer cadet at Bangladesh Naval Academy and 12 months as a Midwest.
In addition to professional training in the academically selected candidates, BBA degree will be given from B.Sc. (Honors) and Supply Section cadets of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on the subject of Maritime Science of cadets of Executive Branch. Apart from this, B.Sc. An engineering degree will be given to the cadets of Engineering and Electrical Section (BUET) and Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
Facilities and promotion
Along with the other benefits of the recruited candidates, the salary and allowances of the officer cadet will be given as per the prescribed pay of the Armed Forces. Subsequently, after the promotion of the Midshipman, they will be given salaries on their higher scale. Outside of the training phase and after receiving the commission, meritorious cadets and officers will get training abroad, higher education, government accommodation, children’s education costs, medical expenses etc. Apart from this, opportunities for foreign tourism and financial well-being in the United Nations peacekeeping missions.
